well i found this on tiger direct

here --> http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=699052&sku=ULT31114

i'm currently using a generic ATX case with 500W power supply

i have these questions:

1.) can these be used to replace 2 fans?
2.) are these good?
3.) are they worth the price (and please don't suggest me to some antec/lian-li cooling solution that's pretty expensive, although something better than this around the $10 price range that COULD replace 2 fans (or are 2 fans) would be nice)

thx

btw: i already got a 80mm side fan

Those arent worth it. Besides that they only are 30-CFM, they are 60mm fans. Those fans are barly pushing any air. Dont get anything off of tigerdirect. Heres a good link for MODD's.

oooh ok, thx a lot cuz i mighta gotten them

another question, but before i ask, here's my setup:

generic case with 500W psu
amd 64 3400+
abit mobo
1 gig ram
40gb HD ata-133
still deciding on brand...nVIDIA 6600GT

if i don't plan on overclocking, do i need more than 1 fan?

if i DO overclock (it would be a slight overclock on the video card, would i need more than 1 fan [i don't wanna get a heatsink/fan just for graphics card tho])

also, if i DO need additional fan, which of these would u suggest:

Depends on your temps. That's how you decide if you need more fans not simply on what gear you have.

If your temps never get past mid 40's celcius then you have room to overclock.

I'm anal and hate the fact my OC'd cpu gets up to 43-45 during gaming when it's warm in the room, but if you're resting in the 50's Celcius currently, you need better cooling, but 50's to mid 50's on an OC system isn't bad...buuut personally I'd want it cooler than that :p

DiabloII, your sorta getting the wrong idea about OC. All those fans you posted, where hideous. Those fans wouldent drop your temps yo. Those are all looks. Sorry to be so blunt, but those arent the fans your going to need. First, if you want a glowing fan, just get a grill.

Never get anything under 60mm fans. Stay with 80mm, or ideally 120mm fans. Myself, i dont own a single 80mm fan. I have 7 120m fans in my case. Im going to post a 80mm fan, witch will be a moderate fan.

Heres the 80mm.

Now if you want some real cooling, here are the 2 best 120mm fans on the market. Those are the ones i use.

Those other fans you origially posted, had around 20-CFM. Thats how much air gets pushed, the higher the better. Normal is around 50-CFM. The RPM, is obviously how fast the fan is spinning, witch also has alot to do with how much air gets blown. That 80mm fan i posted has 50-CFM.
The first 120mm fan i posted has 108-CFM, while the other has 125-CFM. So thats pretty insane, they do alot more work.

but how loud would they be, 45 DB.. thats insane! if u decide to get those fans make sure u get the noise reducers

I got a 60db fan for my CPU. My case also lifts off the ground with my fans.
