oh well just like a week or maybe two before i posted a topic of my problem that i had with harddisk badsector.. but i was advised like buying new okay.. i did.. 80 gb seagate Baracuda... and just today again i heard some ticky ticky beeps... after i did scandisk surface i found the bad sectors... what the hell is this?? whats wrong with this new... its like a strange because i am countinously having this problem... related replies are appreciated.

well we know sectors are where the info on the hard drive is stored right? That can be a start to your question. I would try reformatting if you can.

If 2 drives have acted up and 1 is new.. Sounds like to me you are getting a Virus in your PC and or software somewhere

Because a Virus can cause probs like that..

There are some other things to check based on the symptoms of the new hard drive.

Check that the power connector and the IDE (or SATA) connector are seated tight and even try a different cable if possible.

How big is your PSU? How many components are you running off of it?
