abit av8?

is the abit av8 good? im trying to find a good mobo for the new amd athlon 64 3200+ i purchase from new egg. I need a mobo with good ocing capabilities and under $130

I was thinking of that board as well. But decided against since I wanted the 6600 GT - and the AGP version of it more expensive. So I can just put that $$ into the mobo and get one with a nforce4 chipset - and with a PCI-E port.

Not too sure about the finer points between nforce3 vs nforce4.

It will definitely be a good board for OC'ing. ABit and DFI are two of the best OC'ing boards in the market IMO.

But codeine makes a point. Decide if you want to stick with AGP a while or jump to PCI-E right now although there's not a whole huge difference between the two in terms of performance quite yet.

Can't vouch for or against the AGP/PCIE, but the board works great, and is very qualified for OCing.
