Sounds good! Never hurts to try anyway and if it's an e-book.. not like we have to worry about 1000 paper copies sitting around gathering dust if it doesn't fly right?? :D

If structured correctly, it could be a great idea.

Well, we need to know more about what you consider "structured" correctly. After all, this will be for TF Members! :)

That's what this is for, to figure out what you would like to see, and how you would like to see it.

This sounds like a good idea. As raven said it is only an ebook so even if it doesn't go to well you aren't out a whole lot of money.

What I mean is, structure it like your forums. A section on Hardware, Software, OS, Linux, etc.

Make it searchable and put a diffacult level on it. Things like changing your wallpaper give a 1 but things like editing your registery give a higher level. Do the same for a Risk level. This will at least warn people that it has a higher chance of effecting they're system before they execute the task.

And example would be this:

Section II "Win OS"
Chapter "Windows Keyboard Shortcuts"
Dif Level 1, Danger Level 1

See what I'm saying?

Another good idea might be to have a basic troubleshooting section in the book. It wouldn't have to get into the really advanced stuff but stuff like system clock loses time, etc.
