when my cpu is under a moderate amount work...it seems to shutdown automatically at a temp around 45-55 degrees... any1 know how to change this or is it possible for something else to be having trouble?? my specs are listed below

If you think it's a temperature issue, take your side panel off your case and see how it goes

Scan for Viruses/Spyware and other generally nasty stuff.

Run a disk cleanup and defrag.

Have you got all your latest drivers installed (especially for your Chipset)?

check if ur mobo has a failsafe auto temp shutoff and check its temp rating. you could be overloading your circuit, or u might be getting power sags, a UPS is always a good excuse to dump 150 $
