Chipset fan

hey i was wondering what fan i should get for my asus a8n sli because it seems like the chipset fan is one of the loudest in my case..

i know that but what one. the fan is not defective or anything its just so small that its sorta annoying and i was wondering what replacment to get if i do

I'm not sure how noisy this one is but Thermaltake makes them.
Just search Thermaltake chipset or north/south bridge cooler.
You should try to find a review.

Thermalright NB-1 is a nice little heatsink and fan for the chipset.

Also if you care to spend $30 for a nb cooler ( considering your system I don't think It'd be that big of a dent in your wallet ) then you could get a Northpole Microcooler from frozencpu.com or sidewindercomputers.com

I don't notice the fan in my system, but on that one it spins at 8500RPM so if you have a really really quiet system you might notice it.

i found out it wasnt the chipset so now i just need a quieter ps and quieter hsf for my vid cards but they have to fit sli

somehow you could attach a 80mm fan onto it and run it at like 800rpm, i dont know how you would do it.

im gonna buy 2 nvsilencers and see it that will work because there is 2 slots between the cards so i think that sohould work i will let you guys know. i gotta wait till i get paid though...
