I am using Windows Xp and my system shuts down by saying lsass.exe is damaged and need to be shut down
What should i do ?

Go to this site, Symantec and read the whole page. You may be infected with the W32.Nimos.Worm that copies itself as %Windows%\System\Lsass.exe.

I would definately run your virus scanner and follow the recommendations given from Symantec.

No Infection at all

I have formatted my drive three times so there is no chance of getting infected with any kind of virus so plz cosider the thing .

Go to run and type shutdown -i and increase your time to 999999. That will give you 999999 seconds til your pc shuts down.

I typed shutdown -i in run and opened remote shutdown dialog box but it says "this directory service is currently unavaible "

What should i do to make it avaible ?

Im indian.. but in toronto.. i havehad this problem with my cousin... microsoft has created a patch to download that MAY help tho..... its the same thing as avserve.exe my cousin had to end up reformatting, it came back and then another reformat.
