Did Microsoft really a stockholder of Apple? Just read from an unknown article (seems true)

That sounds like something they would do. I'm sure they're not a major stockholder though. But as a stockholder you are privy to information that others might not be. More in depth financials and stuff.

I dont believe its that much, but they own a huge hunk of apple. Have since the mid-nineties if I remember correctly.

currently M$ share of Apple is 49% just shy of being the majority shareholder..
