I have build an external hard disk which runs though USB2. Now, what would happen if i unzipped an iso of a bootable disc? Is there a way to let me boot of it?

I don't know about the "unsip the ISO" part but check your BIOS concerning possible boot devices. Most new BIOS allow a network boot but I haven't seen one that supports booting from a USB device.

on some mobo's and some versions of BIOS you can envoke a system to boot from USB by holding the "U" key on the keyboard durring the boot process, similar to F8 to boot safemode.

as long as the proper files to make the disk bootable are in the proper locations, then yes in theory it is possible.

hope it works out for you, let me know

i set the bios to boot from "usb hdd" but it didnt boot. I set it to 1: USB HDD, 2: HDD 0 3: None, and it just booted into windows. I dont think i did it right though, ill give it another shot tomorow mabye.
