Also, Im almost positive but all of this IS compatable right?

In addition, any advice on things to change?

Whats your advice on heatsink/fan?

Ive got monitor/keyboard/speakers already.

Trying to keep this under $1,500, what you see is about $1,400 from NewEgg.

You should get a 6600GT video card.

for the CPU, i suggest spending about 10 bucks more and getting the 3500+ with the Winchester core. It will be much cooler and overall should just run a bit better.
The MB, RAM, CD drives are all fine. That Power supply is awesome, great choice (i got one just like it and it pumps out good power and keeps the case cool).
For the Hard drive, definitely get the SATA instead of ATA, it will perform MUCH better (even though its a pain to set up) and only costs like 5 bucks more in most cases.
I definitely agree with the 6600GT PCI-E for your video card. You should be able to grab one for about 200 and it will play any game out.
I dont know how good that sound card you have there is, but i suggest getting a sound blaster audigy if you goin for cheaper cards (the first one, not the SBA 2). I cant even tell the difference between the cards on my 4.1 speakers and the SBA is all i could ever want in a sound card.

I built a 2nd system that has the same processor, motherboard, and ram you have. I would think about getting a MSI motherboard, Ive heard a lot of good things about their new MSI K8N Board. I had a lot of problems setting up Bios in the Asus A8V. As for the card I would get a Radeon 9800 Pro 256 Bit which should run about $210. Otherwise it looks like a good setup.

Thanks for the input, especially on the vid card and processor.

Its a pretty nice sound card, also has inputs for a lil bit of home recording which is suposed to be VERY good for the price. I hear its a hell of a lot better than the sound blasters... but who knows.

Dont I need two SATA hard drives for them to be effective? I ask because I already bought the 120 gig WD (It was on sale for dirt cheap with rebates)

I would get the same thing exceptwith the same hard drives but larger. No you dont need 2 SATA drives unless your running RAID.

I may have got better ram for OC'ing

Would have gotten a DFI mobo too

looks like you have a good idea of what you want, I'd agree with a 6600gt, and getting the winchester/.09m part. Only things I didn't really see covered was Heat sink,case fans, keyboard, mouse, monitor.
