Also, talk about how crippling a really powerful virus could be since our modern world is so deeply dependant on computers and computer operated machinery.

There was a guy in Korea that died because he sat in an internet cafe for 4 days straight.

There was also a guy that died because he did nothing but play Everquest and ended up with a brain anurism.

My point being, while computers can be a great tool, it can also turn into an addiction just like any drug.

well, those guys were both freakin idiots, if we didnt have computers there would be soooo many things we couldnt do, i mean, think about how many businesses rely on computers, think about the medical procedures that wouldnt be possible, think about the fact that we would not be able to go into space, think about how wars would still be fought, there are soooo many things that rely on computers, i think almost every1 in america relies on computers to some extent, what if all of a sudden no computers in the world would work (like they said would happen in y2k) you couldnt buy anything from wal-mart, your tv would stop working (or at least there would be nothing on), people all over the world in hospitals that were on life support would just die, you would lose all electricity, and the bank would lose all of your money, i could go on and on,


most bad things on the computer are from bad people, computers dont have any inherent bad traits, but with sick peoples help anything can be made bad, but heres some bad things i can think of

kiddie porn
the anarchist cookbook
people that hack into government stuff
software piracy
falsified information
porn in general

thats all i can think of

no, because if you think about it xboxs ps2s gamecubes and otehr games are computers too, i think id die without mine, lol especially now that im movinh to wichita and wont be able to ride my banshee as much

I'm not saying they are bad, I'm saying it can have a negitive effect on some people.

I could not survive without mine. I'm a very self education type person. The internet gives me answers to any question that I could possibly have.
