TheMajor PowerQuest / Opera Messages 10,176 Location Netherlands Feb 7, 2005 #15 Yes, you have to. Put 2 HD's or 1 HD and a CD-rom on a cable and set both to CS.
TheMajor PowerQuest / Opera Messages 10,176 Location Netherlands Feb 7, 2005 #16 The coneectors on the cable could have any color. I don't know if it matters, but the longest end should connect to the motherboard.

OP OP M Mr. tech In Runtime Messages 384 Feb 7, 2005 #19 It's from an old bunch of PCs from a school I'm doing up. Most of the hard drives are 4.8 gig )) and I'm installing Win 98 on them... Is there any way to determine if it is truely stuffed? It would be nice to have another 40 gig hard drive

TheMajor PowerQuest / Opera Messages 10,176 Location Netherlands Feb 7, 2005 #20 No. Well, you could try it in another comp, but I highly doubt it will work.
