See siggy for spec...

I bought 2x 512MB PC3200 RAM to run dual channel. I had lots of problems with installing XP and when I took out the second stick, I found that it installed good.

After shutting down, I reinserted the stick and rebooted. Fine so far - then I started a game and 1 minute later it crashed to desktop with a 'can not write memory' error or something. Rebooted and windows gave me a memory error before I even got onto the desktop. Removed the stick, rebooted and everything is fine...

Is this likly to be bad RAM or a dodgy MoBo? The RAM was cheapish £45 per 512MB.

I just used it on its own and POST said my 'overclocking' failed.

Its all standard settings, I havn't done any overclocking yet, so I blame the RAM. Don't buy cheap RAM kids!

Even expensive RAM can give you troubles. I've never had a problem with my kingston valueRAM
