torrent and comp

am running a cable internet connection and when i try to download torrents it is really slow. I called my friend and he said that the torrent that im trying to download has 100+ seeders. im thinking this is a problem with me it could be my comp or it could be my connection. i am trying to download naruto, an unlicensed anime

here are my comp specs tell me if i need anything else
AMD athalon XP 3000+ 333fsb 128k L1 512K L2Barton SOcket A Cpu
Aspire b3klw black 350w ps with front USB2 thermal moniter stealth cd rom bays
Lite ON balck 16x double layer DVD RW
Western Digital 200GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive 8mb cache
Biostar m7ncd-ultra nforce 2 400 ultra atx mainboard with dual ddr/sata raid/audio lan
Kingston 521 MB ram 2 sticks
ati radeon 9600xt 128 mb ddr video card
dual fan power supply volcano
i am thinking of switching to ADSL for gaming is this a good choice
i am running an ethernet connection with no router just comp to modem
 
You most likely have the ports blocked that torrent uses. Free the ports, and your speed shall increase dramaticaly.

(u shur your not on a school network or something?) if u dont have a router or firewall. it could be...

) did u limit your upload bandwidth? the faster u upload with BT the more Bandwidth the torrent tracker will give to your download.

no im on a home cable modem conection
i used almost all the clients i can think of
azureus, bittornado,torrentstorm,bittorrent original client, bitcomet, ABC

if there are any other good ones to try gimme a holler
