OK, first the good new. I got my new build running!

Now, during the build I realized I have a 20-pin psu and a 24-pin mobo. The manual for my mobo said it can be done but it "isn't recommeded." It said make sure you have 15a on 12v, and I have 18a on 12v. Is this a problem? It is working. Should I send back the psu for another one?

It should work. I am running a 24 pin mobo off of a 20 pin power supply. But if it restarts for no reason and you have alot of stability problems, either get an adaptor or a 24pin PS.

It's one of those things where you'd rather be safe than sorry.

Most people have gotten instabilities up the arse, so I suggest an adapter. They aren't expensive

So I would be fine just getting an adapter rather than sending the whole psu back? That sounds good to me. I really don't want to have to shut this thing down until I get a new psu.

So this would do the trick?

I have a hard time seeing what this would do. You still have the exact same power coming from PSU?! But I definately am not an expert....
