So I've noticed that LCD displays are still quite pricey for my taste, so I was considering an idea.
Ebay has broken LCD monitors for sale ranging from $5 - $100, in all different sizes. How hard do you think it would be to find a kit, or just the plastic screen. There dont seem to be any on Ebay, and all major computer retailers dont seem to have them either. Does any one have idea's?

It's probably possible to find all the parts you need to frankenstein a LCD for cheap...but you'd have to know what you're doing and get parts that work together. You could probably buy the LCD and if it's just got a cracked overlay screen just call the MF and get a replacement overlay screen (probably about $60-70).

In the end, though, the quality isn't going to be up there and you won't have any guarantees it'll last.....or not burn your house down....
