When doing a full system scan, is it suppose to freeze at different periods of time? Cause my does and I was wondering why it does that?

Any ideas.

by freeze, do you mean that it stays at the same stop, or that the program itself freezes?

Next time you run that program run your task manager along side...
Look at the process portion, and column by cpu usage...

that will tell you everything.

It stays at the same spot during different times when scanning.

I am using a win98 se machine so I am unable to.

Yea that sounds about normal. It should "lock" the entire machine per say that you have to reboot, but it will stay at points where it would say maybe "deep scanning local registry" for a period of time. Espcially on a full system scan it has a lot more items to scan. So long as it finishes and you see and hear the little red bug (dang it always scares the crap out of me when I have the speakers loud..lol).

I have delays on very old machinnes too. As long as it doesnt take hours, your fine.
