Ram Heat?????

Just wondering if ram chips really heat up much ? even when over clocked?

Iv posted before how i didnt want to oc my ram and was trying to figure out a way not to , but im thinking whats the big deal ? my system seems very stable with ram oced at 223 mhz and a great increase on benchmarks , So that leaves me thinking about the heat of the ram , somthing to worry about or not ?

Not really. TwinMOS makes some of the most OC'able RAM out there and they dont even use heatspreaders. Perhaps once you start pumping 3.0v+ through the dimm line you will have something to concern yourself about, but besides hat not really.

Use the blend mode test in prime95 to see if it's truly stable

Of course like Nubius said no worries unless you are going 3.0v or more. Below that i would say most RAM's don't even get near hot, or even warm (depending on case temps)

yah i think he had it on an OCZ DDR Booster, or a manual volt mod.
