Help me Remove This...

I recently downloaded a temp program for school. Now that I installed the permanent one, I want to uninstall the temp one. However, it is not located in the Add/Remove Hardware section.

I know the location of the program, but it does not give me any option to uninstall. Can I just delete it?

By the way, the program is connected with my account at school and is a compiler, if that makes any difference.

Try Add/Remove PROGRAMS.

Sorry, when I was writing I meant "Add/Remove Programs" that was a typo - the program is not located there.

start menu / run line / ( type ) regedt32 hit enter...
Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE , expand SOFTWARE.. and find your "program".

2 .... Find the program file or Root directory and delete the sucker.

After cleaning the registry of entries for the program, you should delete all folders for that program as well.

and it helps to run a registry cleaner afterwards to get rid of any slag that may have been overlooked like in programs menu etc.....i would recommend registry mechanic or regscrubxp
