guys I just wanna ask you some simple questions

What is SATA or/and SATA cable?

What is a chipset?

What is overclocking?

What is a BIOS recover? How and when do I use it?

Extra facts that are related would be appreciated.

you may find it stupid to ask these questions rather than surfing the net, this is because I trust your answers so much because of your expertee.

i am also new im building my first computer soon. DDR is like the basic ram the rest i still want to know as well.

Overclocking is the somewhat unknown and uncommon practice of running your CPU (or other parts) past the speed that it is rated at.

SATA - Serial ATA. This is what the newest hard drives use to connect to your motherboard.

Overclocking - See above defination and forum stickies.

Bios Recover - Setting your bios back to the default settings by moving a jumper on your motherboard, when you make a mistake overclocking.

Chipset - Usually the chipset describes the type and company that make a certain chip on a certain peice of your computer. EX - My motherboard has a nvidia nforce 4 chipset.

DDR - Double Data Rate Random Access Memory
(uses 2 sticks like 200mhtz to = 400)
SDR - Single Data Rate
(Uses one stick like 133mhtz)
