I need to transfer email addresses and email from one computer to another. What is the easiest way to do it? It has windows 95 or 98 on the one with outlook 97 and I want to transfer it to a new computer with outlook 2003 running xp pro. Can it be done with a floppy?

You can only export your saved mail addresses of people as far as I know..
I can't think any way of transferring e-mail, but to of course moving them one at a time!
If you have 1000+ mails you want to save that will be hell!

I've export more than a thousand file pleny of times. you export to a file, burn that file to cd . then import into it back into your progam

Outlook 97 uses pst files to hold your emails, this is true with 2000-2003. It also uses a pab file for your address book, i dont think this is true for newer versions as they added the address book to the pst.

search for the pst & pab. copy to the new pc. open outlook 2003, file | import, click import messages from file, from pst file, point to the pst, set where you want to put your old messages, click import.
