For gaming, get and AMD 3500+ if you can afford it, of course, if you have more $$$ go for a 3800+ or a 55-FX for that matter.
DFI mobo's on the nF4 Chipset are good, and they look good whoch is always a plus.
Seagate is the way to go, but NOT Maxtor, which cheap, slow, and are known to break as soon as the warranty is out... If you want a FAST hard drive, get a Western Digital 74GB 10,000 RPM SATA...

Maxtor are pretty fast now tbh.

Go with the Asus A8V or the Abit (or even MSI mobo's). Everyone on these forums loves one of these

Hypertransport is a chip to chip interface AMD uses, and it's great.

I would go with a western digital caviar hard drive as well :)
