Hey 180MHZ
I found this info at Grisoft-see if it applys to you......
"several files indicate STATUS CHANGED" in the test report (eg: kernel32.dll, user32.dll, ntoskrnl.dll). After a microsoft update
makes changes to the above named files AVG will list them as
changed-this is not a virus condition. To remedy the problem do
the following......
Look in the root directory c:\ and delete the following files
AVG&DB_F.DAT and/or AVG7QT.DAT (these may be hidden files so change the folder options to "show hidden/system files)
After deleting the files, when AVG is restarted it will rebuild the
files and information (avg.dat files not the windows files) and
the "changed" message will be gone and should state "OK"
for the above listed Windows files.
"DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK" 180 but makes sense.
Delete the .DAT AVG file or files listed above
Restart AVG
Rescan your system
Windows .DLL files should now scan "OK"
"Changed" message gone.........
Let us know if this worked for you
