just to save money, i'd copy an xp pro cd to another cd.

i loaded the cd and copied it on my desktop and write it on another cd.
but my brother said you need to make it bootable otherwise my system will just ignore it when booting.

if he's right on it how do i make a bootable cd. i also heard that there's another way: load in into floppy. how's that.

What you want to do is rip the CD image to your hard drive and then burn the image to CD. Most cd writing software will enable you to do this easily. - the important thing is that you copy the CD image (will be an ISO, but some software works differently)

I assume you dont have 2cd drives, otherwise you could just do a straight copy.

first off, a little friendly advice, don't rat yourself out and tell everyone that you copied right protected software.......

anywho, when using specific software to burn the iso you need the boot image from the floppy boot disk or where ever.....i personally use nero ultra
