Drive ate CD

Well I was trying to make a copy of a cd for a friend. I have to put the source cd in my dvd drive, then the cd-r into my cd-rw drive. Well, something got messed up, and now the dvd drive won't eject and give me back my cd. I tried going into my computer and making it eject, and it won't. I've pushed the button for it to eject many times, and it basically just sits there, as if it isn't in use. When I try to open up the dvd drive in my computer, it tells me to insert a disk into that drive. Anyone have any ideas on what is wrong with my dvd drive/ computer?

Try looking for a small hole in front of it for the emergency eject.

Ya... You'll need a needle or something to stick in it.

Yes any small object should work

Stick the paperclip in the hole and push, it will release the CD tray.

Whoa, I stuck a paper clip in there, and now it's making a goofy sort of "scratching" noise.

that means that the CD came off of the tray and is now stuck in the CD-ROM. I would recommend removing the drive, and opening it. You will have to remove the CD manually and hope that it didn't damage the drive.

Now I got a new problem. Even though I got the cd out, the dvd drive still won't open by me pushing the button. I hate this computer.
