how do i take screen shots? do i need any software? what's some good free screenshot software? what format should i save it as?

well the easiest way is to press the print screen button on your keyboard. Then open paint or another image editing program and click edit > paste and then save the image. The picture will save to the resolution of your screen so you might want to make the image smaller. jpeg is probly the format
