Best overclock config...

Yeah, one feature of the asus bios is what they call "lock free" which allows you to change the multiplier to x14. I am not sure if any of the other boards have also added this yet. If works with the 550 and 560 currently.

So that does sound like the best config?

The mobo has the 925xe chipset so it shouldn't be a problem runing the fsp at 1066. ;)

So how much of a performance boost would you think this would add?

I couldn't tell you what kind of performance boost to expect. It always differs a little.

I'd suggest you use SiSoftware Sandra, use the CPU Arithmatic and Multimedia test to see what your CPU is at it's stock, and do the same with the memory bandwidth test.

Then change everything to the way you described and do those 3 tests over again and that'll tell you how much you gained :)

Yeah, I use a lot worse words in my everyday language, but due to the TF rules I don't use them.

I dont say 'Whats up asshole!' to my friends, but fool is closer to slang and saying 'DAWG' if you will around here whereas asshole is just a blatent personal attack.

a 1GHz increase from stock.

Had my XP-M (stock 1.8GHz) up to 2.8GHz but not stable, just for pics :p
