Mandrake Linux 9.1 Boot problems

I get the following error:

Invalid media type reading drive C:
Aport, Retry, Fail?

When I use a Windows 98 disk.

That's no good. My Win98 disk (hate the OS, love the boot disk) has it.

I'm sure you can d/l a win98 boot disk. I'm on a 2k rig now and it doesn't have that file on it.

The sys.com exists, but it's not reading drive C...

I don't know why its not reading my C: drive... I might just format.

I remember when I first installed Mdk 8 a while back. It corrupted the hell out of my win partition.

But this last time when I put in 9.1 and put the bootloader at the beginning of the drive everything went smooth.

Sounds like a re-install is your best bet unless someone else has another idea.

Yes, I'm deciding if I should format or fix it.. and fixing it isn't working so I'm formatting :)

Thanks for your help! :)

becuase dos cannot read from NTFS. where did you hear that copying sys.com would fix it, it makes no sense at all to me.

Please don't argue. It's my fault. I'm using NTFS.

It's alright, I formatted and everything is actually better then what it was! Thanks for your help.
