I dont have much time, as my laptops battery is dying.

So here is a briefing of what happened:
Yesterday I install Mandrake Linux next to my Windows XP (Partitions).

I go to boot up Windows, I get:
NTLDR is missing
Press any key to restart.

So far, I've dug up a old floppy drive out of the dust and replaced boot.ini,
in RECOVERY CONSOLE I did copy E:\i386\NTLDR C: and this worked, but didn't fix my problem.
I did fixboot, and fixmbr.

No work.

I replaced my boot.ini with a new one. No work.

Windows picks the partition up as PARTITION1 (FAT)
Linux picks it up as PARTITION1(NTFS).

I personally think the Windows logo and the Linux Pengiun got into a fight.. and beat each other up :p

Anyway, if you guys can help without making me FORMAT then I'll be happy as I'm trying to NOT format because I'm getting a new HD soon (tuesday? wednesday?)

Okay I got 2 minutes left on battery.. please help! Thanks

You have to be real carefull when installing a Linux OS on the same drive as a Win OS.

Can you start Linux?
If you can, does it even show the bootloader? Does it give you a choice to choose your os?

Yes, I can start Linux.
Yes, it does show the boot loader.
Yes, it does let me choose my OS.

When I boot windows it gives me an error. I replaced the boot.ini and some other shit, but it doesn't work. Is there anyway to use the Windows Recovery that restores your computer settings? Do I have to remove the Linux partitions?
