Athlon 64's run cooler than Pentium 4's, usually not above 42 degrees celcius on load

for most people, a quick browse of the forums though will find threads where people are runing 65C stock lol. i guess there is a trick to installing the HSF on the new CPU's?

i got a prescott 3.2 last week, the stock coolers pad melted 2 days ago =P my idle is about 41.. load bout 50... so yeah, 55 is pretty high for idle... but its all good, it wont hurt it.
sorry bout the soprano bashin, forgive me

Lol spose not, but the intel stock hsf sucks.. i doubt it was built to handle a prescott :p its iight i just hooked up a zalman in it

55 is fine for prescotts, they run way hotter than northwoods. Its all good about the soprano. I am using a thermaltake heatsink. Xaser 7. 6500 rpm very loud. But I guess its sign of power lol:)
