I formatted my laptop's HardDisk, and now my computer would not reboot from the start up disk. (Windows 98SE).

Message: Invalid system disk, replace the disk, and then press any key.

Please, please help me to reinstall Windows.

I am a computer ildiot, so please help me.

Thanks in advance

Thanx for the reply.

Still getting the same message, even after I have recreated the boot disk.

Any other ideas?

when it starts up and says "press whicever key to enter setup, press that key
go through the lists and find the boot order (it may be called boot devices, boot priority or boot list)
change it to boot from the floppy drive first
then save and exit

Thanx, but I finally solved my problem by going into the BIOS, and changing the sequence of the boot.

I got the idea from browsing through a lot of homesite helps- just have taken me the whole night, but worth the hard work since altho' it is an old laptop-I'd hate to see one of my toys go down the drain...
