Fonts -XP

Hey everyone. I have got a weird problem. Half of my fonts aren't showing up! They are blacked out! Here is what I mean.

They dont show up, but i can still copy and paste a small space of what should be a phrase or whatever to notepad and it will read what I typed. It will only highlight one character though.

I'm so lost! Theres nothing i can think of. No virus, no spyware/adware, i have run all tests i can think of, and they show no problems.

Any help would be appreciated!!

you should try reinstalling the fonts from your XP disk

how would i do it? just copy the fonts from the cd and overwrite the old ones?

and where in the heck would i find them on the cd? Isn't everything in cab files?

alrighty then... everything is fine now....

if this happens again, how would i reinstall the fonts? I explored the xp cd and theres nothing useful.

when the autorun box comes up (if it doesn't just browse to the CD and open) it should have the option to remove ore modify system components, I can't remember exactly what it's called. anyway, fonts should be in the list when you choose this option, so you should be able to repair or reinstall them from there

I just checked. I dont see any fonts section. Its configure windows components or somethin.
