Is there a film over the Tpad that needs peeled off b4 you seat the HS?

there wasnt on mine... just a plastic tray you unclipped off the bottom (but the heatsink wouldnt fit on the socket without taking the tray off!)

No, they run at 45c idle and 63 full load.

My Prescott 3Ghz idles at 33-38 and full load 60-64.

My 3400 OC'ed to 3800 speeds idle's at 28-31 and load is like 40.

Ok, so I should be fine. I win continue to monitor my temps as I progress with my computer. By the way, I have a total of 9 fans in my computer including headsink and graphics card fans. So, I should be running pretty cool, correct?

wow nubius.. ive been gone 6 months and i come back to find out u STILL write essays for posts lol... haha... but yes nubius is right... if thermal paste isnt provided in ur processors box it means that there is a thermal pad at the bottom of ur heatsink... personally i think it'd run a lil cooler if u took off the pad (and get every bit of it off using rubbing alcohol) and put on some thermal paste (like as5) instead... but its running pretty good using the thermal pad
