Vaio V505CP - service manuals?

Hi all,

I am having major problems with my sony vaio. The battery is dead, but wont charge, and it wont boot using the power lead. No power at all.

I cant afford to get it professionally repaired, so I need the service manual. Does anyone have/know where I can get a service manual for the sony vaio v505?

No its not old. Its got 512MB ram, centrino 1.6 processor 40gb hdd... still costs over a grand on sonystyle.co.uk.

Pretty good laptop when it works. will cost me a fortune to get it repaired by a specialist.

Thats the user manual. Got that with the laptop.

I need the service manual, which shows you how to take the thing apart/part numbers etc.

The thing is, there isn't an actual service manual...we also have a Sony Viao and those things are very user UNFRIENDLY to fix. What you see in the user manual about adding memory is about all you will get in the way of anything and that is new, they didn't even use to do that much. Liz
