Hello, my current computer is soon going to be out of space, and I need to upgrade, and I was thinking about getting a 36gb raptor 10,000 RPM, but I DON'T/WON'T want to reinstall XP, and the 36 gig wont hold everything that is on my current hard drive, so is there any way to transfer just the OS and not other software to a new HD?
Or should I just get the 80 gig seagate and put the OS on there using the old 60gb for extra space?
THanks a lot

(mobo doesn't support SATA)

You can't transfer a OS from one hard drive to the other, you can, however, write an image using something like True Image, install windows onto the other drive, and then revert that OS to the image of your current OS, basically meaning you clean install Windows, but then instantly import all of your old settings etc. to your new drive.

The problem is that my Dell is "special" and it tooks 6 hours worth of dell support to get the internet working...
