My IE 6.0.2 keeps not responding during browsing and it initiate a lot of other stuff

Browsing from site to site

all of a sudden the computer pauses and I am in a desktop recovery mode

Simetimes my explorer program stops responsing

I get msgrexe errors

then I get rundll errors and have to cold boot


this morning I gort a page fault and said something about ministacks

any help???

clean your system of spyware and virus'. Then run a check disk. Then run a defrag. Then uninstall IE and install firefox or opera or one of the others...

this is an opinion... do as you wish with your system and your preference. i would encourage you to develope your own opinion on browsers... IE is a fine browser and we may just need to fix it up a bit. that's up to you... however i would NOT recomend an attempt to remove IE at this time!

if you would like to let us help you fix your system, please look over the Virus - Spyware Protection / Detection part of the forum and lets make sure your system is clean first... then we can worry about what browser(s) you would like to use...

about the browser suggestions...
simply downloading firefox is not a solution! that does nothing to find out why this is happening/ what is going on and what needs to be done to make sure that this isn't affecting other things, like MS Messenger or other messageing app as the error clearly states.

clearly this is not an IE only problem and the system should be decontaminated.

mprexe errors lead to total explore shutdown

I have search and destroyed

I have used adware

There is no spyware on my computer

I am currently running check disk

When I tried to defrag my system totally locked up and shut down itself

The problem is initiated when I put in a password and it will send back a message

mprexe is not responding

then my desktop goes white and I have to click to use desktop recovery

then I lose most of my system tray

Then usually it wil say explorer is not responding and I have to do a cold boot

I don't think this is a virus problem or a spyware problem

it sound like you might have one. your antivirus just haven't recognized it

Then uninstall IE

You CAN'T uninstall IE...physically impossible unless you uninstall windows and install a mac or linux. Liz
