Which is a better (laptop) deal

dell sucks in both tech support and their computers themselves. They are cheap when giving you your money's worth. They give you the minimum for everything. Trust me, I work for my school and the only have dell and we are always having problems with these desktops and laptops.

if your doing stuff like that go with a p4 with ht and a gig of ram and a alright vid card and dells are fine its basically all opinion since oems all use the same pos parts

dell makes much better laptops than they do desktops. i have a dell desktop right now (which is a pos), and my dad has a dell laptop which is pretty sweet. 5+ yrs old and still running well on the same 600mhz p2. their service can be a nightmare, or a pleasure depending on who you speak with.

with your choices i'd get the 600m since it has a pm. i would recomend waiting a couple of days until the i6000 comes out with the new sonoma chipset.

i'd go with an alienware laptop of course, they tend to be more expensive........
