Half Life 2 Error When Trying Load Program.

Video Card Error?????????

It says

Engine Error

"Unable to init shader system" When I try to load Half Life 2

Im assuming that has to do with my video card???

I cant get any drivers to work with it, but I can still plug my monitor into it and see everything, so what do you guys think????


IT wont even install the windows drivers for the card anymore, says error everytime it finds new hardware when i start up my computer.

is it a dual head? as in dual monitor capable (doesn't matter if using 2 or not)... if so, go into its properties and make SURE that the 2nd monitor/head is disabled and apply it. check dxdiag make sure everything is enabled, also goto display properties (advanced properties) and make sure hardware acceleration is at full).
