pop up blockers

I scanned with fully updated Adaware Se and fully updated Spybot as well as a fully updated McAfee.

My comp is usually spic and span, squeaky clean. I had this comp built for me to me specs with 2 grand not including the monitor and speakers, so I scan and clean this puppy every week, if not more, I even use RegSupreme to clean the registry.

Now, lately, I have been having all kinds of IE popup windows popup for no reason. I don't want to uninstall IE because certain programs need IE to update and such.

The IE popups vary on subject and popup every hour or two for the last week. As I stated, I scanned with everything possible.

Now, what are good, freeware popup blockers out there? Or, what could be my problem?

IE, you're using Internet Explorer? Halghalghalgha. That's just asking for popups and spyware. Use Mozilla Firefox, that alone should fix most of your pop-up problems.

using another browser does not mean that IE will stop it's pop ups. I use MSN and Firefox, but I get IE pop ups.

Oh, well that... sucks. I don't have that problem, so I couldn't help you.

Yeah, I never had this problem either, just until a week ago out of the blue it seems.
