when i went to the site with the 4 GB RAM disk that's what the lowest price was

OH! RAM DISK! Duh! What an oversight on my part. A 4GB RAM Disk is much different than a 4GB DIMM. The RAM disk sits in the DIMM slot, of course, but it fills like a hard drive, instead of like regular RAM (RAM Disk: keeps information; regular RAM: keeps information for only seconds before it is filled again with new data)

well you could call it a disk because it holds sends and recieves data for the rest of the computer to access
