WIN98 Backup Disc?

-older ibm aptiva 2171-545 w OS/WIN98.....
-making some upgrades to the family computer....(ram & HDD)
-i am going to reformat the HDD but unsure if I have the reinstall disc anymore....
-can't you make a backup or reinstall disc of OS or is it too lengthy?

well creating a backup disk depends on how much space you will use, Norton Ghot is good for backing up but if you will use more than 700 MB (which most people do) you won't be able to fit it on a CD
if you've got a burner you could prolly burn some backup (i suggest on a CDRW disk) before you install again
before you format you need an operating system to reinstall, and the drivers of your sound, video, modem etc.
