plustek usb scanner troubles

since upgrading to windows 2000 pro from 98 my plustek usb u12 scanner wont work

I have d/loaded win 200 drivers from plustek and followed all instructions etc... logged in as administrator

At the end of the installation wizard it sez installation failed, access denied

I cant figure what access is denied to?

have tried other usb ports, disconnected all other usb devices, checked bios to see usb enabled,

All other usb devices ok

Never had any problems with scanner until i installed 2000 pro

Any help VERY much appreciated as I have ran out of ideas

going to email plustek now...

i would try getting a working (note: someone on the site has tried it and it worked for them) driver off of www.driverguide.com that place is the best
