just a quick note... and i can't remember the solution, but the option for pushing the power button adjusts the setting for manually touching the power button on the case and has nothing to do with the shutdown option in the start menue

you can also make a shortcut for the following to envoke a forced shutdown but that wont' solve it i don't think

%windir%\system32\shutdown.exe -s -f -c "Now Say Goodbye" -t 00

when you right click the shortcut selcect properties and paste these there...

start in
%windir%

shortcut key Ctl + Alt + F <<<< this is for a keyboard shortcut in case it locks up a bit on you

run Normal window
