Problems with Radeon 9800

I just bought a PowerColor Radeon 9800 Pro, it's working great but for the fact it flickers when rendering the screen if there's a lot of movement, for example in the Gargoyle demo from ATI if I move it quickly it looks like the screen isn't painting all at the same time. The framerate itself is fine, the card can handle all that I give it, but it looks to me like there's a problem with the video->monitor pipeline or the monitor itself.

Any suggestions on what it could be?

check what version drivers you have installed; if you turn rendering off what happens?
