amd cpu not recognized by this MB

i'v bought a asrock k7vt4a+ MB and a amd athlonxp2700+ and it is regconized as 1500, i try to go on that website to c if bios upgrade can fix the problem but as i c the BIOS here it don't seem to have the support for 2700, what should i do? thanks in advence.

No those have a 333FSB so he'll want to turn the FSB to 166.

Go into your BIOS dude and find where it says CPU FSB or CPU Frequency. It'll be at 100 right now and they do that for safety purposes. Raise it up to 166 so you can get the 333FSB that the CPU is rated at and this should fix your problem.

yeah, that happened to my axp 2200+, i had to change my fsb to 133.

i've tried to change it i changed it to 166 and it hangs, i reset it after, and haven't try again, because i think it is supposed to be 333 fsb so in that configuration interface what value should i enter, or should i try to upgrade the bios, whould it be possiblly help? p.s and how come in here it had support for that, should i upgrate?(i think i am going to try that anyways).
