6600GT Underperforming

Gigabyte boards have fairly large heatsinks

Cool, most boards I see either have a weak active heatsink or a rather lame passive heatsink.

The Forceware 71.20 drivers really aren't that great. They give you a better score in the bench marking program but in actual gameplay they make little to sometimes worse difference on current games. Perhaps in the future of course it'll be improved.

you could attach a smallish fan to a passive heatsink on your northbridge
