Im planning on building a pc, heard AMDs are good and cheap. Can some one confirm that this motherboard, CPU, RAM, Hard Drive, DVD Rom Drive combo will work together:

-ASUS "K8N" NVIDIA nForce3 Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 754 CPU
-AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor
-Wintec AMPO 184-pin 1GB DDR PC-2700, Model 3AMD1333-1G-R
-Sony Internal 16X DVD+/-RW / Double Layer, Model DW-D22A-B2, OEM
-Western Digital 120 GB ATA Hard Drive

Thanks for your help

Assuming your 3000+ is a socket 754, then yes, all of your parts are perfectly compatible with each other.

Considering i've never heard of your ram and that it is pc2700 it will prolly have high latencies and will bottleneck your system.

Dont cut back on ram, it's really important.

However to answer your question, yes they should all work together.
