how do i go about deleting the 2nd OS off my C: ?

long story short, thought i was re-installing XP on my 2nd HDD, but instead installed a second version on my C: (i was rushing)

can i delete it easily, or can i just put the XP disc in again and format the whole drive and reinstall again leaving just 1 OS on? that's all i need really.

don't want to "accidently" install a 3rd OS on it...ha.

thank you.

^^ thanks for the reply jaksback,

actually i am just interested in deleting the "Pick an OS" option screen at boot up.

can i just go into boot in notepad and edit the INI file?

there's 2 choices.

i just want to use the first XP Home choice.

so i guess i should delete the 2nd option "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn", yeah?

thanks.

anyway to uninstall that whole 2nd OS easily?

should i reboot, choose the 2nd XP (one i don't want) and RUN C:windows, and delete that whole folder to get rid of that OS? or is it a lot more difficult than that?

thanks.

^^ nevermind, i figured it out.

i deleted the c:\boot.ini files on the "unwanted" OS and edited the boot file.

so i just have my 1 OS on now.

thanks for your help!
