I have a Prescott p4 3.0e gig chip thats supposed to have a 800mhz FSB but when i pull up everest under cpu it says the FSB is 200mhz is there a problem ?

Thanks for any help

i belive it is supposed to be that way because mine is 400 and it says 200, i think it has to do w/ a multiplier or something? dunno ill let one of the techie gurus answer this one.

No that's correct, that is the CPU's FSB frequency. Your computer also has a multiplier that the FSB is well....multiplied by to give the final clock speed and system bus.

Like if you were to overclock and set the CPU FSB to 210 then your overall system would be above 800FSB.
