Lo people

Having recently decided my current off-the-shelf PC is somewhat out of date. Iv'e decided to have a go at building my own. Now then, I know how to fit it together, but im not sure what i actually want components wise. All i know is that i want a gaming SPECIFIC pc. And that i have around £1800 or $3371 to play around with. I would also like this PC not to be crap in 6 months time :), but in fact to last me quite some time. Things I dont need:

Monitor (just bought a new 19" TFT)
Keyboard, Mouse & Speakers (same, just bought em all new)

So that kinda narrows it down to the bits inside the box (and i also need a new case to house all this!). So what i am basically asking is can u ladies help me come up with something that is gonna meet or exceed my need's.

Thanks in advance,
Moja

I would also have to say that pc would be one sweet pc. A good place to buy it is www.overclockers.co.uk I have brought all my parts for my pc from there, and plan to carry on buying from there. They also have decent support that know what they are doing, and have been really helpful for me.

edit: I built as close as i could pc to what you said, and it came up to £1,630.41

K well i wasn't sure where he lived, thanks man i know that will be a kick ass pc from all my knowledge :p. All those parts are avaliable in the uk just search around for the best prices (not like you need to though :) ) www.overclockers.co.uk is apparently is very good place to get your stuff from.

Well thanks very much for your help. Ill shop around, come up with a price, and then come back to make sure all is ok before i hit the 'Place Order' Button :)

Hehe you cetainly sound like you know what your talking about anyway (and i certainly dont, this is my 1st built PC, every other was off-the-shelf). If you have them handy, do you have any Manufacturer's codes for some of them components? Just difficult finding some with names :) No worries if not, im hunting round now :D
